WOW! I am totally suprised at the popular vote! Here is how the calorie break down goes...
A hand full of almonds = roughly 1/4 cups..210 calories
Starbucks Latte = 190 calories
Doughnut=200 calories
Bagel= A bagel of the large size ( new york) = 310 calories
A handful of almonds my have alot of calories but if you are going to go for something high in calories, go for the almonds for sure! They are loaded with good stuff too, like vitamen E, an important antoxident, protein, and good fat that helps lower bad cholesterol!! Check out this webpage for more info! www.almondsarein.com
Starbucks Latte's are not so good for you if you have them with whole milk, BUT there are other options like non-fat milk or soy! Using different milks can really cut the calories!! Check out what I mean at http://www.starbucks.com/retail/nutrition_info.asp
Doughnuts are one of the worst things you can eat on this list! They are so small and who can just eat one??? At 200 calories a pop, you can see how these could seriously be TROUBLE!!!
Last but not least.. the winner. The bagle. HIGH carbs, little to no protien or fiber(depending on the selection) will be sure to satisfy you now but will leave you starving for something of the same high carb nature in the next hour or so, wrecking your day of hopes of a balanced diet, you will be trying to catch up all day feeling the hypo glycemic shakes that nothing will satisfy but another!!! Beware of the bagle, it is the tricky fat builder!!
Welcome To My Health and Fitness Blog
Hello. I am so excited to start up this blog about health and fitness, a subject I am very passionate about. I am developing this blog to give information about different aspects of the health and fitness world, and different ways to achieve health and fitness goals. We all should have health goals, whether it's to loose weight, stop smoking, eat healthier, exercise more, or train for a certain event such as running, biking etc. This is a place where I can give you tools to do all sorts of things. I am 29 years old,I am a personal trainer and a fitness instructor. I am also finishing my bachelors degree in Health and Human Performance at Austin Peay State University this year. I have just had a baby and I am working on my very own fitness goal which is to loose the baby weight, and regain muscle that I lost, and also to increase flexibility which has always been a weak point for me. I will post all sorts of things including my own experiances. I want this to be a place where you too can join in on the postings, so feel free to ask me questions or request information on a specific subject. I hope this blog will help you all in your health and fitness goals. -Kara
